Newborn Care

We have doctors capable of caring for premature babies and babies with significant illness. Pediatrician specialist care is frequently available and all babies in the newborn unit are seen daily. Once babies gain weight and are thriving overall, they are transferred to our dedicated children’s ward or to their homes as they are growing well. Our maternal child health care (MCHC) is there for care and immunizations of newborns for the first year of life which is critical for well-baby care after delivery. Kapsowar Mission Hospital has surgeons that are trained in the correction of multiple deformities that babies can have including cleft lip and palates, club feet and other congenital abnormalities.
