We are a hospital full of heart - but out of room.
At Kapsowar Mission Hospital, every patient who walks through our gates is met with compassion, prayer, and care. We’ve been serving our community faithfully for over 100 years—and on busy days, we now see up to 300 patients. But our facilities? Some are over 80 years old.
Our outpatient department, built nearly 50 years ago, is outdated and overwhelmed. On some days, over 300 patients pass through a narrow 1-meter-wide entrance—straight into a crowded, aging space that hasn’t seen major upgrades in decades. The hospital board has called it unfit for a Level 5 facility.
And yet, we continue to serve.

We never turn people away.
Kapsowar is a not-for-profit mission hospital. While other facilities may require payment up front, we offer care to everyone who walks through our doors—regardless of ability to pay. But this commitment comes at a cost.
We face chronic delays and shortfalls in government insurance reimbursements, making it hard to meet even basic needs like staff salaries—let alone maintain or expand our infrastructure.
We’re doing more than ever — with less space than ever
We’re not just any hospital. Kapsowar is the only Level 5 referral hospital in our region with:
➔ 24/7 physician coverage in the Emergency Department
➔ The region’s only well-stocked blood bank
➔ Rapid response in mass casualty events—within 10–15 minutes
➔ A pharmacy growing into one of the most comprehensive in the county
But our facilities can’t keep up.
• The Emergency Department has just 4 beds for critical cases.
• The pharmacy still operates out of the old OPD, with no space to expand stock or serve patients effiiciently.
We’re being stretched too thin.

The Vision: A Hospital Ready to Serve the Next Generation
With your support, we’re launching an urgent campaign to:
🏥 Build a new outpatient department — designed for patient flow, comfort, and dignity
🚑 Expand and equip the Emergency Department — with more beds, faster access, and better technology
💊 Construct a modern pharmacy — with dedicated storage, counter, and waiting areas
This is not just about bricks and mortar.
It’s about meeting the needs of our community with excellence and love.
Because when we come together, we make a way. For our families. For our neighbors. For the future of Kapsowar.
